NEW YORK (Reuters) - IBM is in talks to buy Sun Microsystems Inc, sources with knowledge of the matter said, a move that could bolster the technology giant against rivals in the high-end computer server market. International Business Machines Corp is offering to pay at least $6.5 billion, or double Sun's Tuesday closing price of $4.97, The Wall Street Journal reported online earlier. Shares of Sun jumped 64 percent in pre-market trading to $8.16, while IBM shares fell 2 percent to $90.89.

Deloitte comments on the news that Fujitsu is offering
the world’s first colour E-Book Reader and its impact on publishers

Published: 18/3/09 -- Mark Lee-Amies, Deloitte Media Partner comments:
"Fujitsu’s announcement that they will be offering the world's first colour E-Book Reader for sale represents a significant development for publishers seeking to excite the market about digital books. Deloitte believes that it is in the arena of reference literature that digital books will most likely be a success. Here they bring a real tangible advantage to users: searchability and the ability to carry multiple reference texts around at once. This can bring real improvements in diagnosis and productivity for say the medical profession.

Meet the Cajun Crawler - A Segway Like Device With Legs

We've all heard of the Segway but what we all might not have heard about is the Cajun Crawler, a Segway-like personal transportation device with insect like legs. It looks a bit creepy, really cool, and it's a lot faster than one might think. This Segway competitor was created by some students from the University of Louisiana, hence the name "Cajun Crawler".
