With this new feature, you will get compressed PDF scans that are searchable and take up less space on your hard drive, without compromising the quality of the images. If you choose to, you can then use Acrobat 9 to help secure those PDF documents using 256-bit AES password encryption capabilities, or archive them as ISO-compliant PDF/A files.
